Hi Betsy and Runo, I really enjoyed the photo of you and Runo and the new horses. You both look so relaxed and happy! We have a gorgeous winter day here today and the birds are really feeding up as we have a break in the very cold weather we experienced the last two days and nights. I am baking oatmeal cookies and then we are off to work at the apartment when the cookies are done. One unit is between renters so it is a good opportunity to do a little repair work and upgrading. We visited with John W this morning and he is now into the wind energy business. He was pretty optomistic about this new venture. Enjoy your day, Karen

Who would have believed that November would be one of our most beautiful months? That surely has been the case so far this year. We didn't quite know if we would recognize sunshine when we saw it after such a wet, chilly October. The "new" horses have settled in and are enjoying days in their pasture and nights in their snug stalls Runo built in the hay barn. Soon, we hope to give Alvik the experience of having weight on his back, hopefully that of a rider, and soon, the joys of a harness. Bjorgy can wait till spring for these pleasures. In the meantime, he is satisfied just being in the company of his big brother.
