Coe Creek Farm

Spring in Western Michigan onabort our sheep Farm.

Coe Creek Farm, located in northern lower Michigan, was first homesteaded by Lars and Benedickta Augustinesson in 1873. Since that time their descendants have farmed this land in an unbroken line. The farm is currently run by their great granddaughter, Betsy Erickson, and her husband, Runo Lorentzon. Runo emigrated from Sweden in 1972, just one hundred years after the original homesteaders settled on the land.

Runo and Betsy have dedicated the farm to sustainable agriculture, peace, and social justice. Believing that all life is connected, they view the world holistically, knowing that what we do and how we accomplish it will affect others and will influence the future as well as the present.
